Engine will not rev past 2500 rpm

If the car is running well at idle, but fails to rev past 2500 rpm, here are few possible problems that may cause that:- MAFS (Mass Air Flow Sensor) is incorrect for that engine/ECU combination. Sensor might be faulty or broken.- Coolant Temperature Sensor might be faulty (located underneath the intake manifold runners, on the block) and needs to be replaced. This is a one-wire sensor.

Most of the problems we have encountered have been resolved by finding the correct MAFS or replacing the Coolant Temperature Sensor. You should be able to do the same.

If you find other causes for such problem, please do not hesitate to contact us with your findings. We will gladly share your findings with other enthusiasts.
